The Lockwood Park neighbourhood is located in south London. The neighbourhood streets are lined with large, mature trees, and the housing is a mix of 1960s and 70s era single detached homes, townhouses, and large apartment buildings.  There is a neighbourhood commercial plaza at the corner of Wilkins St. and Sandringham Cresent and a larger shopping plaza at the corner of Wellington and Commissioners with a grocery store.  The neighbourhood is not far from White Oaks Mall, a major shopping centre and transit hub.

Mitches Park is a central part of the neighbourhood, with a play structure, swing set, tennis courts, and a hill for tobogganing in the winter.  Sir George Etienne Cartier Public School is located in the neighbourhood, while students also attend Holy Rosary elementary school, and London South and Regina Mundi secondary schools.
